Circa Interactive
In 2018, I began working as a freelance writer for Circa Interactive, a marketing agency that creates custom digital content for esteemed higher education clients.
One specialty I would develop at Circa was ghostwriting. I’d work with professors and academics at particular schools who wanted their ideas to reach a larger audience. This process involved conducting interviews, garnering insights, crafting outlines, and delivering rough and final drafts.
Sometimes there were professors who knew exactly what they wanted to say and I was the vessel in helping get their words to print. In other cases, a lengthier discussion was needed to uncover their unique value point and craft a story frame around that. There were also instances where the professor or academic already drafted an article themselves and I was more editing and finessing their verbal flow.
Each, though, required becoming something of a subject matter expert on a topic I had little or no familiarity with in a relatively short amount of time.
The articles would end up being published in outlets like The Hill, Marketwatch, Entrepreneur, New York Law Journal, Huffpost, and others. I took a deep sense of pride knowing that my efforts helped those professors be able to communicate their respective arguments and knowledge bases to a larger readership.
Out of respect for Circa’s clients, I’m unable to share those samples on this page. If you are interested in reading them, please reach out to me and I can explain the necessary steps that need to be taken for those to be available to view.
